Guildford
CraggyIsland is the most exciting sports facility to open in Surrey for many years. We have many unique features and carefully designed obstacles to maximise the experience of ‘the climb’. With 86 rope lines and hundreds of graded routes, a bouldering area, traverse wall, a great café and shop means we are one of the best climbing walls in the UK.
It is a fun and challenging sport that is a healthy, invigorating and exciting alternative to a dinner party or golf game. It’s suitable for all ages and abilities and there is no minimum fitness level required.
Your
visit will be designed specifically around what you want to get out of
it. We can provide a taster or we can look at more specific aspects
of the sport such as knot-tying and belaying. The centre can host
groups as small as 4 or as big as 150. The length of the session
can range from just 1 hour to a full 8 hour day, so whether you’re
looking for something to break up a day of meetings or a department day
out or Christmas Party, we have just the thing.
All of our instructors are experienced and patient. They are all passionate about climbing and this shows through their natural ability to impart knowledge and advice.
Climbing harness, belay device and all safety equipment is provided. Wear something soft and comfortable – climbing is a strenuous activity and you need to be able to move freely. It’s also a very hot activity, so do bring a towel and some water to drink.
Food can be provided in the Island Café. They offer a full and varied range of drinks, snacks and meals to suit all tastes.
Sutton
Companies are always looking at new ways to motivate their staff and Craggy Island in Sutton will give them a challenge to remember! We can take groups from 2 to 50 or more and custom build your visit so you get the most from it.
There is no need to be a climbing expert as we have routes that almost
anyone can achieve, but bouldering is all about pushing your personal
bounderies no matter who you are. And there is also caving to consider,
which can be used as a team event to get everyone helping each other
through adversity and bond on an equal basis.
The length of the session can range from just 1 hour to 4 hour session, so whether you’re looking for something to break up a day of meetings or a department day out or Christmas Party, we have just the thing.

In addition we have a high quality conference centre adjacent to the
centre that can complete your day offering high quality presentation
facilities, a restaurant and bar to let you plan an entire day of staff
motavation or training.
