Job Vacancy: Permanent Weekend Instructors

We are looking for a Team of Weekend Instructors to work regular, contracted hours instructing our groups and sessions at Craggy Guildford.

Role: As an Instructor at Craggy Island you are responsible for delivering indoor climbing sessions in a fun, safe and nurturing manner. Session types include Beginner Climbing Courses, Birthday Parties, Taster Sessions and Private Tuitions. For more experienced instructors, or upon completion of relevant training, there will also be the opportunity to teach Lead Climbing and provide Performance Coaching to customers.

Hours: Contracted hours will be flexible, in that if you are looking for regular instructing work then we will work with you to arrange your hours to suit your requirements. Please note that contracted work is only available for weekend working. As an example, you might be looking for work every Saturday, or perhaps every other weekend. We will consider all options in line with the business’s requirements.

Requirements: Applicants must be aged 18 years or over at time of application. All applicants must have some personal climbing experience. Some instructing experience is desirable but not essential; paid training will be provided to all successful applicants at whatever level is appropriate.

Holiday: You will be entitled to paid holiday at the statutory entitlement.

Pay: Hourly rate for employed instructors is £8.07 per hour for 18 to 24 year olds and £8.40 per hour for 25+ year olds.

Overtime: There is the opportunity to work additional hours at your normal hourly rate. You will be given priority for booking overtime as an Instructor.

How to apply: Please send a copy of your CV and a brief covering letter to Marv Smith, Centre Manager at marv@craggy-island.com. Marv will be happy to answer any questions in connection with this role. Please ensure that your application reaches Marv by Sunday 27th of August 2017.
