Indoor
climbing is a sport for people of all athletic and
fitness levels.
It challenges the mind as well as the
body in a self paced environment. It is a sport for
men and women, large and small, young and old, the
fit and the couch potato.
Our
equipment is designed to let you climb at any level
or ability. Just as real rock climbing has holds for
hands and feet, so does Craggy Island. Each climb has
a graded route of coloured holds set from 'easy
peasy' to 'you can't
be serious!'. The object is to try to climb at
your limit in a safe environment.
Often,
people are apprehensive of heights. This is a natural
fear for most people, but once you have climbed our
novice walls a few times and know the rope will hold
you safe,
then a trip up our higher walls seems far less daunting.
We are here to help. 
Often,
people new to the sport come to craggy and book a simple
taster session.
This two hour course gives you the chance to see if
you like climbing without being taught how to climb.
. . your instructor is there so you just have an exciting
climbing session! The next logical step is to look
at a beginners course.
We
have a huge range of routes and problems to enjoy and
the only limit to how fit and skilled you want to be
is how often we see you!
