Full and Part Time Receptionists, Guildford and Sutton

Role: As one of the Receptionists you offer our customers the ‘first impression’ of Craggy Island when they come into the centre, call to make a booking or email for information. You are responsible for ensuring that all our customers receive a high level of customer service via any medium and that enquiries are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner. You should be friendly, fun, well-organised and able to work both as part of a team and on your own.

Hours: Contracted hours are 37.5 hours full time and in the region of 20 per week part time (although for part time this can be varied to suit the right applicant, within reason). This can include a mixture of daytime, some evening and weekend working depending on your availability and our needs. However, you will work on a continuous rolling rota so hours are regular and you will always know in advance when you will be working.

Requirements: Applicants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of your application. Some experience working in a customer service environment is desirable, as is some experience of indoor climbing but this is not essential; paid training in all aspects of the job will be provided to the successful applicant.

Holiday: You will be entitled to paid holiday at the statutory entitlement.

Pay: Commensurate with ability.

Overtime: There is the opportunity to work additional hours at your normal hourly rate as the need arises.

Full and Part Time Casual Instructors, Guildford and Sutton

Role: As an Instructor at Craggy Island, you are responsible for delivering adult indoor climbing, kids club, taster sessions and party sessions in a fun, safe and nurturing manner. For more experienced instructors, or upon completion of relevant training, there will also be the opportunity to provide Performance Coaching to customers.

Part time: Working hours for instructors at Craggy Island are flexible. The majority of hours are available during evenings and weekends so could suit someone who is currently studying or has another job. Occasional daytime work with School Groups is also available to meet the demands of our booked sessions.

Full Time Duty Managers, Guildford and Sutton

Role: As one of the Duty Managers you are responsible for the safe and smooth operating of the centre on a day-to-day basis. You will report directly to the Centre Manager. Duty Managers are involved with all aspects of running our busy and successful indoor climbing centres. The job includes supporting Reception with handling customers coming into the centre, Instructing clients on a range of Adult and Junior courses and sessions and carrying out safety and equipment checks under the guidance of the Centre Manager.

Hours: Contracted hours are 37.5 hours per week. This includes some daytime, some evening and working some weekends. You will work on a continuous rolling rota so hours are regular and you will always know in advance when you will be working.

Requirements: Applicants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of your application. You should be an experienced indoor climber. Some Instructing experience is desirable but not essential; paid training in all aspects of the job will be provided to the successful applicant.
