How we’re re-opening:
- Members only to start with – no new Registrations and no Instructed sessions.
- No Caving – it’s an enclosed space which, by nature of what it is, is poorly ventilated and difficult to maintain social distancing.
You need to pre-book! We are operating a slot booking system for all Members. Slots are 90 minutes long and need to be pre-booked before arrival.
What is a Member? Members are anyone who has previously Registered with us to Boulder unsupervised. If you have paid the Annual Membership (£12.50 per year) then you are eligible to come in from 25th of July. If you have not paid the Annual Membership but have Registered as above then, you too, will be eligible to come climbing again when we re-open. If in doubt as to your membership status/eligibility, please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can assist you.

Hoping to supervise your child, a family member or friend? We’re trying to limit the time that customers spend in Reception, the contact that you need to have with our staff and the number of touch points as you pass through this area. We are only allowing Members to supervise their own children to start with – no supervision of Adults at this time. If you have supervised your child previously then they’ll be registered on our system already. If in doubt, please get in touch prior to your visit so we can ensure your process for entry is as efficient as possible when you arrive. You must pre-book them online before arrival. Need to hire Shoes? We have taken the decision not to hire out any kit in the short-term. Our hire kit is touched all over as part of it’s normal use. Current guidelines dictate that each item of hire kit needs to be isolated for a period of 3 days after it’s use to be clear of any possible viral contamination. This just won’t be practical for us at this time so there will be no hire kit available – not even if you ask really nicely. This will be reviewed daily and in line with any new guidance from the Government.
Want to come to Craggy for the first time? You may well be a very experienced and competent climber but our Registration procedure at time of entry means that our staff have to stand closer than the 2m recommended distance. We need to do our best to protect all of our customers and staff so regret that no new Registrations will be available for now. This will be reviewed daily and in line with any new guidance from the Government.
Hoping to book a Taster or other Instructed session? Not just yet I’m afraid. Unfortunately, due to social distancing, it is not possible for us to offer any Instructed sessions at this time. We are accepting bookings from September and you can book online for all of our courses here.
